Marc Marquez left it late to top the final MotoGP practice session at the Red Bull Ring ahead of the Austrian GP.
Even a late crash, his 12th of the 2026 campaign, couldn’t stop the Spaniard from topping the session with a 1:29.663. Sitting two seconds off Jorge Martin’s 2024 all-time lap record, he still ended FP2 clear of the Aprilia rider and Pedro Acosta.
Fermin Aldeguer claimed fourth ahead of factory Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia.
Though Bagnaia managed fifth in FP2, the Italian still faces a tricky morning as he prepares for a Q1 showdown following a difficult Friday at the Austrian GP.
Fabio Quartararo brought his Yamaha home in an encouraging sixth, ahead of Alex Marquez in seventh, with Enea Bastianini, Johann Zarco, and Raul Fernandez completing the top 10.
Fabio Di Giannantonio followed in 11th ahead of Pol Espargaró, while Brad Binder could only manage 13th for KTM’s home Grand Prix.
Ai Ogura secured P14, with Marco Bezzecchi finishing a discreet 15th.
