Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team will run a special livery at this weekend’s Croatia Rally as the brand continues to pay tribute to the late Irish and Hyundai Motorsport rally driver Craig Breen, who passed away in a pre-event test for the same event in 2023.
Designed by Hyundai Motor Europe’s Technical Centre design team – in cooperation with Hyundai Motorsport – in a series of one-off liveries running throughout the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship season, the artwork features portraits of Breen across the sides and roof of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 car. It is accompanied by a larger version of the longstanding ‘For Craig’ decal and tribute line featuring his iconic ‘flat to the square right’.
Breen continues to be remembered on all liveries throughout the season with a ‘ForCraig’ emblem on the rear of all three cars entered in every round, as well as the ‘Breenie’ hats worn by team members at the colder rounds.
Hyundai Motorsport President and Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul said: “The sentiment is still the same within the team: we want to continue to remember Craig Breen not only for the driver he was on the stages, but also the man he was off them. Craig was the epitome of what rallying is in every element of his life; from his camaraderie on event, to his passion for nurturing the next generation of talent in his native Ireland, everyone can pinpoint something about him that impacted them positively. We are honoured to have been a small part of his life, and I can speak for the whole team when I say that we will do all we can to help his memory live on.”
