Chaos reigned on Saturday morning in Kenya. Overnight rain turned stages into quagmires, but the worst was the final stage of the morning loop, Sleeping Warrior.
The early part of the stage was almost undriveable, and Evans ripped the right rear corner off his car.
TGR Radioed the crew to tell them to pull off as the wheel was dragging at a 90º angle and the suspension arm and damper had pulled out.
Oliver Solberg leads by 42 seconds over Sebastien Ogier with Takamoto Katsuta up into third.
