Daytona International Speedway once again provided the stage for one of endurance racing’s toughest challenges, the iconic Rolex 24 at Daytona,
The 64th running of IMSA’s flagship event took place on the weekend of the 24th and 25th January and the twice-around-the-clock contest delivered its usual blend of intensity, strategy and attrition, drawing global attention to the opening major event of the sportscar racing season.
As usual the field was made up of a star-studded line-up of drivers from around the world, full of IndyCar, Formula E, WEC and even former Formula 1 drivers and some of their offspring…
And one of the offspring, Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello – the eldest son of Rubens – emerged as one of the standout performers. Dudu starred in securing a podium finish in the GTD class aboard the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo.
The third-place result was well deserved and capped a consistent and competitive race for the team across the gruelling 24 event.

“Amazing start to the year,” Eduardo commented after the race. “We were competitive the whole 24 hours of racing, and at the end, we just came a bit short.
“We worked hard, and we achieved great results as a team really excited for the rest of the season, as the work for the upcoming races has already begun.”
Forging a path in endurance racing
Eduardo Barrichello continues to build his own reputation in international motorsport and endurance racing, following in the footsteps of his father, former Ferreri Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello.
While his surname carries weight in the motorsport world, the Brazilian has steadily established himself through performances across a range of disciplines. After developing his skills in karting, Barrichello progressed through Formula 4, U.S. F2000, and Stock Car Brazil, where he claimed multiple podium finishes.

In recent seasons, he has shifted focus towards endurance and GT racing, competing in major international events including the FIA World Endurance Championship, where he has demonstrated strong pace and race craft in GT3 machinery.
His podium finish at Daytona marks another important milestone in that transition, underlining his growing experience in long-distance competition.
Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello is supported by CoinsPaid as he continues his GT and endurance racing campaign, with attention now turning to the remainder of the season following a strong start at one of motorsport’s most demanding venues.
