With over half the race gone, Daytona 24 Hours is under caution as thick, dense fog has set in across the Speedway, making visibility for drivers, spotters, and marshals almost impossible in some cases.

Felipe Nasr leads the race in the #7 Porsche, from Earl Bamber in the #31 Action Express Cadillac. Kevin Estre is third in the #6 Porsche, with Will Stevens fourth in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac. His teammate Jordan Taylor in the sister #40 WTR Cadillac is fifth, while sixth is Scott Dixon in the #60 Acura MSR.

Seventh is Nico Pino in the #85 JDC Miller Porsche, with the two BMWs, Kevin Magnussen in the #25 BMW and Sheldon van der Linde in the sister #24 car, are eighth and ninth. 10th in class is Kaku Ohta in the pole-sitting #93 Acura, while 11th, 20 laps down, is the #23 Aston Martin Valkyrie, with Alex Riberas at the wheel.

Porsche have largely controlled the race from the front, with the #7 at or near the front for the majority of the race. Cadillac and Acura have pace in their cars too, though, with the #31 Action Express Cadillac and #93 Acura leading for considerable portions of time.

The race always seems to swing back to Porsche, though, who appear to be strong in all conditions in this race.

The top 3 in LMP2 are Dane Cameron, driving the #99b AO Racing Oreca, Gregoire Saucy in the #22 United Autosports Oreca, and Sebastian Alvarez in the #8 Tower Motorsports Oreca.

Connor de Phillippi in the #1 Paul Miller BMW is leading GTD Pro, with Ayhancan Guven second in the #911 ‘grello’ Manthey Porsche. Third is the #4 Corvette of Nico Varrone.

Mason Filippi is leading the GTD class in the #36 DXDT Corvette, with Ben Green second in the #13 13 Autosport DXDT, making it a Chevy 1-2 in the GTD class.Third is Francis Selldorff in the #96 Turner Motorsport BMW.

The fog is as thick as ever and cars continue to lap behind the safety car. We’ll update when the fog lifts and the race goes green again.
