Marco Bezzecchi took his third MotoGP win of 2025 in Valencia and equalled his best championship finish of third.
The Italian became the first Aprilia rider to win three Grand Prix races in a season, producing back-to-back wins for the first time in the premier class.
His Valencia win was his most dominant as he took the holeshot from pole position and never looked back.
Bezzecchi matched his 2023 championship result with third overall, ending the year as the leading non-Ducati rider in his first season with Aprilia.
When asked whether he feels like a better rider in 2025 than in 2023, he said to GPOne: “I think I have improved; here you have to improve every day to stay competitive.
“In my opinion in MotoGP you have to work every day to be at the top, you compare yourself with very fast riders like Marc Marquez or Alex [Marquez].
“That pushes you to try to become better and better. I think I put together all the necessary efforts in the right way, but a lot also comes from the people around me.
“That makes a huge difference, I feel great with the [Valentino Rossi] Academy, I feel good with my team.
“Everything makes me feel good and helps me. I just have to keep it up.”
Although Bezzecchi and Aprilia have made clear strides in development this season, the Rimini rider has made no brash statements about a possible title fight in 2026.
“I see it as being tough, in sports every year can be different,” he stated.
“Certainly, the end of this season was great, I would say it’s since Assen that we have been going very well. We are almost always at least for the top five.
“But in the beginning, we suffered. We have to try to get off to a good start in 2026, that’s for sure, also because we are all working very hard.
“The goal is to be competitive all the time.”
