Nicolo Bulega claims WorldSBK Superpole at Aragon

Factory Ducati rider Nicolo Bulega posted an impressive lap to claim the Superpole at the Aragon WorldSBK round.

The Italian posted a rapid 1:47.332, an all-time lap record, as he looks to halt Toprak Razgatlioglu dominance.

Championship leader Razgatlioglu will start in second for BMW, closely followed by Bimota’s Alex Lowes and Marc VDS’s Sam Lowes.

Danilo Petrucci saved his best lap till last to claim fifth for Barni Spark, defeating factory Ducati’s Alvaro Bautista.

Andrea Iannone posted seventh for GoEleven to continue Ducati’s dominance as Jonathan Rea and Andrea Locatelli will accompany the Italian on the third row.

Remy Gardner rounded off the top 10, with Axel Bassani, Michael van der Mark, and Xavi Vierge separated all within a tenth of a second.

Dominique Aegerter and Ryan Vickers qualified in 14th and 15th place on their respective Yamaha and Ducati machinery.

Garrett Gerloff and Yari Montella followed closely and took 16th and 17th, defeating Bonovo Racing’s Tarran Mackenzie.

Bahattin Sofuoglu claimed 19th with Tito Rabat and Michael Ruben Rinaldi in hot pursuit.

Honda stand in Tommy Bridewell, qualified second last, as Zaqhwan Zaidi closed out proceedings.
