Two-time WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu will begin his MotoGP venture with Pramac Yamaha in a standalone private test of the new V4 prototype.
The Turkish rider carries strong momentum toward a potential third WorldSBK title, holding a 39-point lead over Nicolo Bulega with three rounds remaining.
Razgatlioglu’s long-held ambition to race in MotoGP became a reality in June, when his move to join Jack Miller for the 2026 season was confirmed.
With the WorldSBK season concluding at Jerez on October 17–19, the 28-year-old is reportedly set to test the Yamaha V4 privately before the official end-of-season MotoGP test in Valencia on November 18.
While the location and dates have not been officially confirmed, Autosport reports that the test is scheduled for November 9-10 at MotorLand Aragon. The test is reportedly directly backed by Paolo Pavesio, Yamaha’s Managing Director.
The two days in the Basque Country will see Razgatlioglu acclimatise to a MotoGP bike for the first time since his previous Yamaha tests in 2022 and 2023.
Razgatlioglu’s current contract with BMW reportedly bars him from taking part in any Yamaha-related events until the next calendar year begins.
His two-year contract will have him competing during MotoGP’s new regulatory period in 2027, which marks the biggest shakeup to the rules in recent times.
It remains to be seen whether his trademark WorldSBK riding style can be replicated in MotoGP, but the move promises to be one of the most exciting transfers between paddocks in recent times.
