Reigning WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu capped off his weekend by completing an impressive treble at Donington Park.
The Turkish rider crossed the line an impressive 2.9s in front of the factory Ducati duo of Nicolo Bulega and Alvaro Bautista.
Razgatlioglu got off to the best start once again to take the lead into Turn 1, but Marc VDS’ Lowes overtook Bulega right from the off.
The British rider joined Razgatlioglu in stretching together a half second lead over the rest of the field by the end of Lap 2.
The Turkish rider is blissfully unaware that Bulega dropped down to fifth after his team-mate Alvaro Bautista and Yamaha’s Andrea Locatelli overtook the Italian.
However, Bulega’s time in fifth proved to be short lived as he overtook both riders on Lap 3 in stunning fashion.
The leading duo held the momentum but out of nowhere Lowes’ race ended at Turn 1, ending his home race weekend with one podium finish.
The following laps proved to be very quiet on track, but the two championship contenders looked incredibly comfortable at the front of the pack.
After Lap 10, the gap between the BMW and Ducati rider was separated by 2s, and by Lap 14 the gap extended further to 2.6s.
Michael van der Mark’s race ended early on Lap 17 as he rode his Bavarian machine back to the pits.
Meanwhile his team-mate Razgatlioglu produced the goods to complete the treble, making it his first back-to-back trebles this season.
He now leads the championship for the first time in 2025, establishing a four point advantage over Bulega.
Bautista completed the weekend in third after a retirement in Race 1 on Saturday, though came close to overtaking his team-mate at the end of the race.
Locatelli secured fourth ahead of Barni Spark Racing’s Petrucci and Kawasaki rider Garrett Gerloff.
Andrea Iannone posted a strong result of seventh for GoEleven, finishing over four seconds clear of Dominqiue Aegerter.
His team-mate Remy Gardner ensured both GRT Yamaha riders secured strong point finishes, as Honda’s Iker Lecuona rounded off the top 10.
Ryan Vickers and Scott Redding finished 11th and 12th, respectively, separated by less than 0.020s aboard their respective Ducatis.
Yari Montella recovered to take 13th, finishing ahead of Honda’s Xavi Vierge and Yamaha’s Jonathan Rea.
