Toprak Razgatlioglu prevails in Most WorldSBK Superpole race

Reigning WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu will start Race 1 from the front after posting the best time during the Superpole.

The Turkish rider posted a 1.24.827s on his final run as he secured pole position, followed by championship rival Nicolo Bulega and Bimota’s Alex Lowes.

Pata Maxus Yamaha rider Jonathan Rea qualified strongly in fourth, accompanied with team-mate Andrea Locatelli on the second row with Marc VDS rider Sam Lowes wedged inbetween.

Ryan Vickers qualified a strong seventh for Ducati at his home track, ahead of the Barni Spark Racing duo of Yari Montella and Danilo Petrucci.

Factory Ducati rider Alvaro Bautista qualified 10th place, with Dominique Aegerter and Garrett Gerloff joining the Spaniard on the fourth row.

Iker Lecuona finished as the lead Honda rider and pipped GoEleven’s Andrea Iannone and BMW’s Michael van der Mark on his final lap time.

Remy Gardner secured 16th for GRT Yamaha, bettering the laps made by Scott Redding and Axel Bassani.

Xavi Vierge secured 19th with wildcard Tommy Bridewell in 20th for Honda, ahead of Michael Rueben Rinaldi, Bahattin Sofuoglu and Tito Rabat.

Ivo Lopes qualified last as he stood in for Petronas Honda rider Zaqhwan Zaidi.
