Toprak Razgatlioglu was a cut above the rest by securing victory in Race 1 at the WorldSBK Czech round in Most.
The reigning WorldSBK champion crossed the line seconds clear of his nearest challengers Nicolo Bulega and Danilo Petrucci.
However, Ducati rider Bulega led the early stages by securing the lead at Turn 1 ahead of Razgatlioglu, but intense drama unfolded in the middle of the pack.
At Turn 1, Andrea Locatelli, Michael van der Mark, Alvaro Bautista and Scott Redding all collided, with Locatelli and Van der Mark the only riders retiring from the chaos.
Northern Irishman Jonathan Rea capitalised to rise to sixth place by the end of Lap 1, rising multiple positions from his qualifying position.
Iker Lecuona overtook Rea at Turn 1 on Lap 2 to secure sixth spot for the foreseeable.
As expected, the leading duo of Bulega and Razgatlioglu stretched a second lead over Petrucci and the Lowes twins of Alex and Sam.
Bulega’s advantage was marginal, but the Italian is nursing minor injuries from a highside he suffered in practice, which could prove pivotal later on.
His Turkish rival slotted his way through at Turn 1 on Lap 4, but Bulega was keeping Razgatlioglu on his toes.
Following the incident at Turn 1 on the first lap, Bautista recovered up to 10th by the end of Lap 6, gaining an impressive nine positions.
Marc VDS Ducati rider Sam overtook his brother Alex to continue his onward momentum from previous rounds.
Honda rider Xavi Vierge and Bautista dispatched Rea on Lap 7 and 8, respectively, demoting the six-time champion back to 10th place.
Bautista launched his way past the Honda down the straight on Lap 10, while out front, Razgatlioglu extended his advantage to 1.0s for the first time in this race.
The BMW rider gained another two seconds by Lap 15, putting the pedal to the metal on his Bavarian machine.
Bautista rose further up the field by overtaking Montella, with his eyes set on securing sixth by the end of the race. The 40-year-old’s rapid pace led to the inevitable overtake two laps later.
Razgatlioglu secured his first race win since the Superpole race at Assen, winning for the fifth time in 2025.
Despite battling injuries, Bulega secured second place, maintaining his streak of finishing either first or second at the checkered flag.
Petrucci secured third position and another rostrum appearance for his 2025 campaign.
Alex Lowes established fourth for Bimota, resulting in the Italian marque’s best finish since rejoining the series at the start of this year.
Bautista nursed his tyres to overtake Sam Lowes on the second-to-last lap, ending his race in fifth place.
Lowes’ sixth continued an impressive string of results, with Lecuona securing seventh, where he finished as the lead Honda rider.
Montella ensured Barni Spark Racing would have both its riders finishing inside the top eight positions, ahead of the second Honda rider of Vierge.
Pata Maxus Yamaha rider Rea crossed the line in 10th position, finishing the race as the highest placed Yamaha rider in the process.
Garrett Gerloff secured 11th for Kawasaki, followed closely by the second Bimota rider of Axel Bassani and GRT Yamaha rider Dominique Aegerter.
Scott Redding recovered to 14th for the Bonovo Ducati crew, before Bahttin Sofuoglu wrapped up the final point scoring position in 15th.
