Alex Marquez completed Friday topping the charts in both MotoGP practice sessions ahead of this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix.

The Spaniard showed grit to top the charts, having suffered a fast crash at Turn 5 earlier in the session, which resulted in a brief pause due to the re-deployment of the air fence.

The Gresini rider posted the best lap time right at the end of the session, posting a 1.35.991s, a new lap record.

Francesco Bagnaia finished the session as his nearest challenger, completing a lap time one tenth off his rival.
