Trackhouse Racing boss Davide Brivio commends the team’s relationship with the factory Aprilia MotoGP outfit ahead of the 2025 season.

On Tuesday, Trackhouse launched its 2025 livery to the public, with its rider line-up consisting of Raul Fernandez and 2024 Moto2 champion and debutant Ai Ogura.

The American team are about to enter its second year as an Aprilia satellite team. Their best result in 2024 saw the outfit secure a Sprint podium in Germany and a best Sunday result of sixth at the Catalan Grand Prix.

After finishing ninth in the team’s standings, defeating both Honda teams, Brivio shared more about how both parties will look heading into the 2025 season.

“Yes, of course, we are very well connected with Aprilia,” he shared to Crash.net.

“First of all, we have the same bike, and especially next year in 2025 we will really start from the beginning with exactly the same factory materials, same factory bikes.

“And this already shows by fact the connection and the interest.

“Anyway, we were very close with Aprilia, we shared a lot of information, discussed decisions, stuff like that.

“Of course, as an independent team we are independent on certain things.

“But we share ideas, we share comments, we share what we can improve, what can be better.

“So, I would say we have a very good connection and full cooperation with them.

“And also I think for Aprilia it’s beneficial to have an independent team: more information, more data. So, it’s working well so far.”

Davide Brivio reveals why he joined the Trackhouse Racing project

As he embarks into his second year as the team manager of the team, Brivio shares about how he got involved in the project to begin with.

“It was very easy for Justin [Marks] to convince me because I always loved the American sport, I always wanted to understand more about the NASCAR – now I’ve no more excuses!

“Now seriously, Trackhouse team in US it’s a serious thing, a great organisation, a successful team.

“That’s also what makes me very excited and interested – this established, strong team in NASCAR also wants to get into MotoGP, be successful, learn as much as possible and be here in MotoGP,” he told Motorcycle Sports.

“Trackhouse sees MotoGP as an opportunity, it’s a company operating in motorsport – of course, business in the motorsport,” he added.

“And MotoGP is a great opportunity for what is the audience that follows the MotoGP, what is the success MotoGP has around the world, is a worldwide sport – so it’s also an opportunity for Trackhouse to go out of the USA.

“Also, I think Trackhouse is going to be helpful and to be part of the strategy that MotoGP, Dorna also wants to grow in the US and hopefully we can give our contribution to that”.
