#7 Porsche takes close Daytona victory over charging #31 Action Express Cadillac

Porsche’s Nick Tandy set the pace in the opening practice session for the Detroit Sportscar Classic, the next round of the IMSA Sportscar Championship.

The Brit set a time of 1:06.899 around the street circuit onboard the #6 Porsche 963, 0.,580 faster than countryman Nick Yelloly in the #25 BMW M Hybrid V8. Ricky Taylor was third in the #10 WTRAndretti Acura ARX-06, with Philipp Eng fourth in the sister #24 BMW M Hybrid V8, and Renger van der Zande the fastest of the Cadillacs, fifth in the #01 Cadillac V-Series.R.
