Automobilista 2 developer Reiza announces partnership with IMSA

Reiza Studios, developer of popular sim racing game Automobilista 2, has announced a partnership with IMSA, the motorsport organisation behind the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

Automobilista 2, also known as AMS2, has lots of different content from across the motorsport world. The developers recently added Le Mans and a tranche of new prototype machinery from IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship, but this will take the game’s content in that area to another level.

Reiza said, in their latest development update, “We are delighted to announce that Automobilista 2 is now an official partner of the International Motorsports Association, the body in charge of several long-running racing series in the US, the premier of which of course being the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, featuring some of the most traditional Endurance events in the world such as the Daytona 24h, the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta and the Sebring 12h – the latter taking place just as we write this.

“Our goal through this very exciting partnership is to align the remaining agreements required to have the 2024 season – teams, cars and venues – represented in AMS2, a process that is already well under way with direct support from IMSA themselves.”

This means AMS2 may see cars and tracks from the Sportscar Championship, as well as cars and tracks from IMSA’s other championships, including the Michelin Pilot Challenge and VR Racing Sportscar Challenge.
