Porsche’s Felipe Nasr, onboard the #7 Porsche 963, leads the Daytona 24 Hours 10 hours in, but is closely followed by Cadillac’s Jack Aitken, in the #31 Cadillac V-Series.R, and the Brazilian’s teammate Nick Tandy, in the sister #6 Porsche.

Derani was leading mid way through the eighth hour, going into the ninth, when he and Tandy, in second at the time, pitted. Then came out in the same positions but on new tyres, Tandy took the position off Derani. The pitstops also enabled Nasr to get into the lead, where he has stayed since, except Aitken took second off Tandy when both pitted again, with the Brit taking over from his teammate.

Nick Yelloly lies fourth in the #25 BMW M Hybrid V8, while Jenson Button is fifth in the #40 WTRAndretti Acura ARX-06.

In LMP2, Nick Boulle leads the class, behind the wheel of the #52 Inter Europol Oreca 07-Gibson. He has almost 15 seconds ahead of Pato O’Ward, driving the #2 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson, while Josh Burdon is third in the #74 Riley Oreca 07-Gibson.
