Colin Braun was fastest again in the #60 Meyer Shank Acura ARX-06 in the fourth practice session for the Daytona Roar Before the 24, setting a 1:35.038 to top the times.

This means the team has been the quickest overall car in each of the four practice sessions so far.

In second was the #10 Wayne Taylor Acura ARX-06 of Brendon Hartley, with the Kiwi just over a tenth slower than Braun. This makes it the third consecutive Acura 1-2 — surely a good omen for tomorrow’s qualifying.

In third and fourth were the two BMW M Hybrid V8s, with Philipp Eng in the #24 ahead of Nick Yellowy in the #25, with Eng three tenths off Braun and Yellowy a further tenth adrift.

The two Porsches were fifth and sixth. Michael Christensen was just over a second slower than Braun in the #7 Porsche 963, while Dan Cameron was just under a tenth off his teammate in the sister #6 963.

The Cadillacs brought up the rear: Renger van der Zande seventh, Earl Bamber eighth, and Alexander Sims ninth.

Ben Hanley was quickest amongst the LMP2 drivers, with the Brit setting a 1:38.633 in the #04 Crowdstrike Oreca 07-Gibson. IndyCar driver Rinus VeeKay was second, behind the wheel of the #11 TDS Oreca 07-Gibson, while Kyle Simpson was third for the #8 Tower Motorsports Oreca 07-Gibson crew.

Over in LMP3, Nico Pino was fastest, driving the #33 Sean Creech Ligier JS P320, with a 1:42.961 enough to put him on top. Gabby Chaves was second, just two thousandths slower, in the #36 Andretti Autosport Ligier JS P320, while Josh Burdon was third fastest in the #74 Riley Ligier JS P320.

Nicki Thiim was fastest amongst the GTD and GTD Pro cars, with his GTD-entered #44 Magnus Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 setting a 1:47.276, just under four hundredths quicker than the GTD Pro #64 TGM/TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Hugh Plumb.

Maxi Goetz was next up in the GTD ##32 Korthoff Mercedes-AMG GT3, six thousandths off Plumb, while Jack Hawksworth followed in the GTD Pro #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3, with a 1:47.446.

David Pittard set exactly the same time as Hawksworth in the GTD Pro #23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage, but as Hawksworth set his time first, he went second in class with Pittard third.

Finally, third in GTD went to Aaron Telitz, in the sister #12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3.

Fifth and final practice for the Daytona Roar starts at 6:30pm local, before qualifying begins at 1:25pm on Sunday 29th January.
