Motorsport is a great sport. The raging engines and squealing tires, what a thrill! Not only is it fun to watch, but it is also the ideal sport to bet on.

Full of adrenaline, the drivers race their machines and you can still win money!  Betting on motorsports makes visiting or watching competitions much more exciting than if enthusiasts have not wagered money on the outcome. By placing a bet, you get more feeling with the races and you can benefit from it financially.

You can bet money on motorsport events completely anonymously and alone, or together with family and friends within minutes you have opened an online gaming account to bet on motorsports and through the many deposit options, you have money in your account quickly.

Since little or no bets on motorsports are offered in the high street betting shops, the best and easiest alternative is to bet on your favourite sports on the non GamStop sites. Due to the many users and the great competition among the offshore bookmakers, you as a bettor get the best pay outs and these odds are not offered anywhere else. You can bet on motorsports on single outcomes such as who will win the race, but also you can choose group bets such as who will finish first and second. The group bets are more difficult but pay much better.

Betting on Motorsport

Betting money on motorsports is a form of betting on motorsports. Because bettors can never predict an outcome with a 100% guarantee, there is still a risk that you will lose your bet. But betting on motorsport is fun, exciting and makes the race more attractive. However, by betting on motorsports you are taking a risk and always keep in mind that instead of always winning, you can also lose with your bets.

Different Types of Motorsport

As with any sport, there are many branches of motorsport. There are actually too many different types to list them all, below we will list some of the most important ones.

Road Racing

This is the most famous form of motorsport. They are all races that are held on a race track or a blocked stretch of road. The aim of the race is to complete a certain distance as quickly as possible. The most important examples of this are Formula 1 and MotoGP. These races are driven at very high speeds, which make it extra exciting. It’s the races that appeal to everyone’s imagination.

Motocross

In this variant of motorsport in which motorcyclists do not race on a track but rather on a direct circuit. They are still races, so the speed is important. But there is more because it is also tiring for the drivers due to the tough conditions. So it is important to pay attention to this when betting on motocross. The winners of motocross are usually in excellent physical condition.

Enduro

This is probably the toughest kind of motorsport. Enduro mainly focuses on the rider’s fitness. This must complete an off-road lap that is often more than 15km. Often it goes straight through a forest with mud everywhere. What makes this variant so difficult is that the track is divided into pieces. Each part must be completed within a certain time. If these periods are exceeded, the driver will receive extra penalty points. Driving ‘on time’ is therefore very important!

Speedway

In this variant of motorsport, motorcyclists race on an oval track. The laps are driven at high speed and the tension is high as a result. The track can be made of mud, grass or in some cases even ice! The motorcyclists can also sometimes ride with a co-driver in a sidecar.

Other variants

In addition to the aforementioned five variants, there are many other branches of motorsport. For example, there are drag races, where racing is done at high speeds on a short straight track. There is also a hill climb, where motorcyclists have to conquer a steep slope. Of course, there are also many old-timer races, where you see many antique motorcycles.

Motorsport Betting Explained

Due to the many different types of motorsports out there, the choice of bets is enormous. It is a pity that most online sportsbooks do not support all branches of the sport and you often have to go to real betting offices for this (unfortunately this is not possible in the Netherlands). The focus of betting on motorsport is actually road racing. Most attention is paid to competitions such as the Grand Prix and therefore the most bets can be found on these.

Tips for Betting on Motorsport:

Of course, you want to read some tips to be able to bet extra well on motorsport. We are sure that after reading our tips you are ready to bet on motorsport!

Focus on One or Two Racing Variants

Because there are so many different variants of motorsport, we recommend focusing on one or two different types. If you focus on just a few variants of the sport, you will become a connoisseur of them. This gives you a huge edge over gamblers who bet across the board and blow their money on all races.

Set a Budget

Gambling is a leisure activity, and it certainly should remain that way. Therefore, we advise you to set a strict budget and not to exceed it under any circumstances. It is also important that you set a maximum profit and loss limit per game session and that you do not exceed this limit under any circumstances.
