Kamui Kobayashi leads the Rolex 24 at Daytona after a hectic opening phase.

The Toyota driver holds the lead of the race in the #48 Ally Cadillac DPi-VR, having passed the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac of Tristan Vautier when the Frenchman got held up in traffic.

Both Kobayashi and Vautier had leapfrogged the polesitting #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-05 of Filipe Albuquerque on the opening lap of the race.

Sebastien Bourdais now sits in second place in the #01 Chip Ganassi Cadillac DPi-VR, having passed Vautier while Albuquerque has dropped to fourth.
