Kamui Kobayashi topped the second free practice session for the Rolex 24 at Daytona during another rain-affected session.

The Japanese ace posted a 1m 35.470s in the #48 Ally Cadillac DPi-VR, which was 1,5 seconds faster than Toyota team-mate Mike Conway in the #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac.

Kobayashi and Conway posted their laptimes early in the session. After that, the session was halted due to a red flag as the #7 Forty7 Motorsports Duqueine D08-Nissan of Trenton Estep stopped on track.

By the time the session had resumed, the rain had worsened, meaning that no significant improvements were posted.
