Kevin Estre has set the fastest time in opening practice for the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR.

The Frenchman is partnering with full-season driver Cooper MacNeil for only the second time this season, joining the team for the GT-only round at Virginia International Raceway.

Estre topped the charts in the #79 WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19 with a time of 01:41.124.

That was enough to beat out the #4 Corvette C8.R of Nick Tandy by 0.797s, with Antonio Garcia third in the #3 Corvette C8.R.
