DPi runners brought out two out of three red flags in the session.

In the three-car LMP2 class, Gabriel Aubry led the way in the #8 Tower Motorsports ORECA 07-Gibson. Aubry’s best time of 01:56:588 was a full second clear of the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA of Mikkel Jensen, with Tristan Nunez third for WIN Autosport.

Oliver Askew led the way in LMP3 in the #36 Andretti Autosport Ligier JS P320, posting a 01:59:440, 0.403s clear of the #91 Riley Motorsports Ligier of Dylan Murry.

Felipe Fraga took third in the #74 sister car, with the top five in class rounded out by CORE Autosport’s Colin Braun and Dawson Racing’s Theodore Olsen in fourth and fifth respectively.

Corvette Racing led in GTLM ahead of the lone WeatherTech Racing Porsche. Nick Tandy took the top spot in the #4 Corvette C8.R, with the Briton’s 01:58:913 a comfortable 0.734s clear of team-mate Antonio Garcia.

The #79 Porsche 911 RSR-19, which returned to the track after it caught fire in the opening stages of the previous race, only turned a handful of laps and set no representative time.

In GTD, Sunday winners Turner Motorsports continued their strong form at the New York circuit as Robby Foley topped the session in the #96 BMW M6 GT3.

With the car sporting a new colour scheme in honour of July 4th, Foley lapped Watkins Glen International in 02:02:785, half a second clear of the #14 Vasser Sullivan Racing Lexus RC F GT3 of Aaron Telitz.

Mario Farnbacher took third in the #76 Compass Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo, with Jeff Westphal fourth for CarBahn with Peregrine Racing and Madison Snow fifth in the #1 Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.
