Following postponements due to the ongoing pandemic, IMSA has announced an updated schedule for the rest of the 2020 championship season.

The Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca has been shifted forward one weekend, now set to take place September 4-6.  This change is to allow competitors to take part in the rescheduled 24 Hours of Le Mans which was moved to September 19-20.

Additionally, the Acura Sports Car Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio which was previously postponed from its original date in early May has been moved to September 25-27.

In order to better accommodate these shifted events and allow the teams ample time to travel between events, the Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta has also been pushed back one week and will now be run on October 14-17.

These changes are in addition to the previously rescheduled Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring which will now be the closing race of the season on November 11-14.

There is now only one race from the original calendar that is not scheduled to take place, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach which had to be outright cancelled due to the host city not being able to close the necessary streets later in the year.

Barring any further need to reschedule, the 2020 season will resume with the Detroit Grand Prix around Belle Isle Park May 29-30.

Fans who already purchased tickets for the events can use their tickets on the new dates.
