Motorsport Monday – Bentley conquers Bathurst
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Motorsport went Down Under this weekend at the iconic Mount Panorama in New South Wales, Australia where it was time for the first round of the 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge. And what a race it was; a first time win for Bentley! Matthew and Malcolm Wilson must feel very relieved that their M-Sport run operation has started to deliver the silverware for iconic British marque.

Sportscar Editor Davey Euwema reports. And on the Formula 1 front, all eyes are on Silverstone and China. Editor-in-Chief Graham Harris and Grand Prix Editor Phillip Horton take an in-depth look at the £168m investment in the legendary Aston Martin brand by Racing Point boss Lawrence Stroll. Stroll looks set to rebrand the Silverstone team, again, and take over as Aston Martin Executive Chairman.

Then we look at how the Corona Virus is affecting motorsport in China and the world at large. With news already coming in that the Formula E Sanya ePrix has been postponed, what will be the fate of this year’s Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix? Graham and Phillip try to answer the questions that everyone has been asking this week.

And back in London, Rallies Editor Jerry Williams was reflecting after his sojourn to the south of France for last weekend’s Rallye Monte-Carlo. This week Jezza has his usual postcard from Monte and one of the questions he poses, is now the point for Seb Loeb to call time on his WRC career?
