Porsche GT Team has confirmed the four drivers that will contest the 2020 IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship with the new Porsche 911 RSR-19.

The German marque confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:

"The new Porsche 911 RSR celebrates its US debut on 25 January at the 24-hour race at Daytona International Speedway. For the 2020 season, the No. 911 will be driven by Nick Tandy and Frederic Makowiecki. Sharing driving duties in the No.912 are the two champions Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor."

The announcement confirms a full-season title defence for Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor. Bamthor, as the duo has come to be known, won the drivers championship in GTLM last season, outscoring their team-mates Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet by thirteen points as Porsche also locked up the manufacturers title.

Nick Tandy will make his return to the other Porsche, but will have a different driving partner as Patrick Pilet has been replaced by compatriot Makowiecki.

Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet, Porsche's newly minted factory drivers, will complete the respective line-ups for the endurance rounds of the season. Campbell joins Tandy and Makowiecki in the #911, while Jaminet is reunited with Vanthoor and Bamber in the #912.
