Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado have been stripped of their GTE Pro victory in the 4 Hours of Shanghai after the #51 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo was disqualified for a ride height infraction in post-race scrutineering.
Pier Guidi and Calado had taken victory ahead of the Porsche duos of Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen and Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz. The disqualification has handed the race victory to Estre and Christensen, giving them their first win of Season 8.
Lietz and Bruni have moved up to second, while Alex Lynn and Maxime Martin are promoted up to the podium in the #97 Aston Martin Vantage AMR.
During scrutineering after race, stewards found that the Ferrari did not meet the required 50mm ride height. According to the stewards' report, AF Corse presumed that the car had sustained damage during the race, possibly from one of the Porsches during the start or with the #62 Red River Sport Ferrari 488 GTE Evo from the GTE Am class.
Stewards determined during further examination that there was no further damage to the car, thus stating that "no acceptable explanation for the lower ground clearance" could be ascertained, thereby confirming the disqualification.
