Motorsport's governing body, the FIA, has released a full entry list for Season 6 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

The 2019/20 campaign – that will commence on November 22 in Ad Diriyah – will see 12 teams competing, with this leading to the all-electric single-seater series' largest grid to date.

With the arrival of Mercedes EQ and Porsche to the championship, 24 drivers will contest the impending season.

Three of the series' four champions will continue to race in Formula E, with Sebastien Buemi, Lucas di Grassi and reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne remaining with Nissan e.dams, Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler and DS Techeetah respectively.

Featuring an expanded lineup, the field features four new faces in the form of reigning Formula 2 champion Nyck de Vries who will race for Mercedes EQ, GEOX Dragon pair Brendon Hartley and Nico Mueller, and Jaguar's James Calado.

A number of familiar faces will also return to the paddock this season, with Ma Qing Hua replacing Tom Dillmann at NIO 333 while Neel Jani will drive for Porsche following an unsuccessful spell with Dragon in Season 4.

In pre-season testing that took place last month at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, it was BMW i Andretti Motorsport's Maximilian Gunther who topped the timesheets while less than one second covered the top 22 drivers.

Season 6 will also feature an expanded calendar which will be Formula E's longest season yet, with 14 races taking place from the end of this month to July 26 where the season will conclude in London.
