Ricky Taylor has set the fastest time in the final practice session ahead of this weekend's IMSA Monterey Grand Prix, setting a time of 01:15:497 in the #7 Team Penske Acura ARX-05.
This put him and Helio Castroneves just under half a second clear of the #6 sister car of Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron, while the BoP adjustments seem to have paid dividents for the Cadillac runners as Renger van der Zande placed third in the #10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-VR.
Oliver Jarvis proved to be the quickest Mazda, with the #77 in fourth, ahead of Felipe Nasr's #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac of Filipe Albuquerque and the #55 Mazda RT24-DP of Harry Tincknell.
Kyle Masson set the pace in LMP2, with the 01:18:251 for Performance Tech Motorsports enough to beat the PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports for top honours in the all-ORECA class.
The #67 Ford of Richard Westbrook continued to be on top in GTLM with a time of 01:22:034, which was 0.230s clear of the #25 BMW M8 GTE of Tom Blomqvist with the #66 Ford of Dirk Müller completing the top three. The two Corvettes were fourth and fifth, while the two Porsche 911 RSRs once again brought up the rear in class.
In GT Daytona, it was BMW on top as Robby Foley set a time of 01:24:523 in the #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3, putting him some two-tenths clear of the Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Corey Lewis. The Magnus Racing Lamborghini of Andy Lally was third, ahead of the championship-leading #86 Meyer Shank Racing Acura of Trent Hindman.
