Ryan Sieg, a NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, has been called up to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series by Premium Motorsports for a one-race deal to run the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sept. 8. Sieg will drive the No. 27 Chevrolet.
“I’m so excited to join Premium Motorsports at Indianapolis for one of the biggest races of the year,” Sieg said. "I can’t thank Sci-Aps and everyone at Premium Motorsports for making this possible.”
The 2019 Brickyard 400 will be Sieg's sixth-careeer Cup Series race. His prevous five all came in 2017 with BK Racing, a team that has since gone out of business. His best finish in those five races was 26th in his Cup Series debut at Dover International Speedway.
Sieg has competed full-time in the Xfinity Series since 2014 after running a handful of races in 2013. He has two top-fives and eight top-10 finishes in the 23 Xfinity races, so far, this season, putting him 12th in the driver standings and in good position to make the 12-driver playoffs that will get underway after three more races.
Sieg has 192-career Xfinity Series starts, resulting in five top-fives and 17 top-10 finishes.
