Laurens Vanthoor has set the fastest time in the third and final practice session ahead of tomorrow's Michelin GT Challenge at VIR.
The Belgian went quickest in wet conditions, setting a time of 02:00:631 to put him some three-tenths clear of team-mate Nick Tandy in the second Porsche 911 RSR.
Ford was third, with Joey Hand setting a 02:01:262, some six tenths behind Vanthoor. The top five was comprised of four different manufacturers, as BMW's Connor de Philippi was fourth ahead of Jan Magnussen's Corvette in fifth place.
Riley Motorsports continued to show their strong pace in final practice as Jeroen Bleekemolen went quickest in the #33 Mercedes-AMG GT3, setting a time of 02:03:544 in the final stages to beat out Andy Lally and the Magnus Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.
Richard Heistand came in third in the #14 AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3.
The session was held under wet conditions, leading to multiple off-track excursions, including the leading Porsche of Vanthoor, who did all of the driving.
Next on the agenda is qualifying for the all-GT round of the championship, which kicks off at 12:25 PM EDT.
