The rider line-up and test schedule for August's MotoGP test at Finland's KymiRing has been confirmed by Dorna.
The test will feature six MotoGP test riders representing each of the premier class manufacturer teams, as well as some local talent.
Stefan Bradl (Honda), Michele Pirro (Ducati), Sylvain Guintoli (Suzuki), Jonas Folger (Yamaha), Bradley Smith (Aprilia), plus local star Mika Kallio (KTM), will all be in action across the two-day test, which starts at 10am local time on August 19 and will run through to 5pm on each of the days.
The track will then be opened up to local riders during the one hour break each day to get their first taste of the new circuit, which recently underwent full surfacing works.
That will include FIM Enel MotoE World Cup history-maker Niki Tuuli, who became the first Moto E race winner at the Sachsenring this month.
The test also acts as a test run for the circuit itself, which is due to join the MotoGP calendar in 2020.
A safety inspection was carried out at the circuit last week with FIM Safety Officer Franco Uncini, Dorna Race Direction representative Loris Capirossi and Dorna Sporting Senior Director Carlos Ezpeleta all in attendance.
Whilst their was positive feedback, some minor modifications have been requested, but these won't be completed until after the test concludes.
"The progress we saw was amazing and we believe the track will be ready for the test on the 19th to 20th of August," said Dorna boss Carlos Ezpeleta.
"The layout of the track is great and we hope it will lead to exciting racing, everything seems to be happening on schedule and we’re very much looking forward to seeing the first MotoGP bikes on track at the KymiRing soon."
