JMW Motorsport has received the second place GTE Am trophy at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya after the results for the 24 Hours of Le Mans were declared final.
The team originally took third place in class behind Keating Motorsport and Team Project 1, but moved up to second once the Keating Ford GT was disqualified after the race.
ACO President Pierre Fillon was at the track to present team owner Jim McWhirter with the second place trophy, also handing out trophies to drivers Wei Lu and Jeff Segal. The team is at the track for the 4 Hours of Barcelona as part of the European Le Mans Series.
Egidio Perfetti, Jörg Bergmeister and Patrick Lindsey were officially classified as GTE Am winners with Team Project 1.
The German outfit will be stepping up to the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2019/20 season. The team will receive their official winners trophy next week during the two-day WEC Prologue, which also takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
