The entry list for the 4 Hours of Silverstone, the opening round of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship has been released.

The race, which will take place on the 1st of September, will feature 30 cars, with 5 cars listed in LMP1, 8 in LMP2, 6 in GTE Pro and a record 11 cars in GTE Am.

The most noticeable change in LMP1 is that Rebellion have now entered only one of their R13-Gibsons, in contrast to earlier entry lists, which showed two of the non-hybrid cars entered. The Swiss outfit are yet to confirm a driver line-up for their car. The slimming down of Rebellion's effort means only 5 cars are listed in the LMP1 class after SMP Racing announced its departure last week.

Reigning champions Toyota Gazoo Racing return with a pair of Toyota TS050 Hybrids, with Brendon Hartley confirmed as Fernando Alonso's replacement. Ginetta returns to WEC competition as Team LNT have entered a pair of Ginetta G60-LT-P1 – AERs. The #5 car is set to be driven by Charlie Robertson, while Michael Simpson is listed for the #6 with additional drivers yet to be announced.

LMP2 has seen a number of changes, with United Autosports' switch to ORECA now confirmed. Kenta Yamashita has been entered as High Class Racing's third driver while Job van Uitert replaces Nyck de Vries at Racing Team Nederland due to clashing Formula 2 commitments. Will Stevens has been confirmed as the third driver for the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing entry.

In GTE Pro, AF Corse are the only team yet to confirm their line-up as Sam Bird will presumably not be taking part due to clashing Formula E commitments, leaving Davide Rigon's partner in the #71 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo to be announced.

GTE Am sees a number of changes. David Heinemeier Hansson and Matteo Cairoli have joined Team Project 1. Heinemeier Hansson competed for Jackie Chan DC Racing last season, while Cairoli comes over from rivals Dempsey-Proton Racing to join Egidio Perfetti. Jörg Bergmeister will be driving the team's second car, with team-mates yet to be confirmed. Dempsey-Proton is also yet to confirm drivers for both its cars, just like Gulf Racing and Aston Martin Racing.
