Kyle Busch won his second "Best Driver" ESPY Award on Wednesday. The fan-voted awards handed out by sports TV network ESPN were presented during a ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles that was broadcast by ESPN sister network, ABC.

Busch's receipt of the 2019 award was based on his 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, during which he won eight races, matching Kevin Harvick for most wins by a single driver during the 36-race season. Both drivers lost the championship to Joey Logano after they, along with Martin Truex Jr., made the Championship Four in the 2018 season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway last November.

Busch's other "Best Driver" ESPY came in 2016, following his championship season of 2015. His two awards are among four "Best Driver" ESPYs awarded to NASCAR drivers in the last five years. Truex was the 2018 "Best Driver," and Harvick won the award in 2015. Busch's second "Best Driver" ESPY makes him the fourth NASCAR driver to win the award multiple times, joining four-time winners Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon and three-time winner Tony Stewart.

Busch also was nominated for the "Best Breakthrough Athlete" ESPY in 2008.
