As the nineteenth hour of the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans progressed, G-Drive Racing has lost the lead in LMP2 class as it has been forced to spend some 20 minutes in the pits.

Roman Rusinov was leading the class in the #26 Aurus-01 Gibson when the car failed to fire up after the team's 28th routine stop and the car had to be wheeled into the garage.

G-Drive supporters had to then watch in agony as the team spent twenty minutes replacing the car's starter motor.

The LMP2 lead has been handed to WEC championship leaders Signatech Alpine, with Pirerre Thiriet now leading Gabriel Aubry in the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing, who himself lost time earlier when he nearly ran out of fuel and had to crawl back to the pits.

Rusinov has since rejoined the track in seventh position behind Thiriet, Aubry, TDS Racing's Loic Duval, Duqueine Engineering, United Autosports and IDEC Sport.

WIth just over five hours still to run, Toyota continues to lead 1-2 with Mike Conway ahead of Sebastien Buemi. The battle for third in the overall standings has decidedly swung in favour of SMP Racing as the #3 Rebellion of Nathanaël Berthon also spent time in the pit with a brake issue.

The #51 AF Corse currently leads GTE Pro in the hands of Alessandro Pier Guidi ahead of Corvette's Antonio Garcia and Porsche title contender Gianmaria Bruni in the #91 911 RSR.

Keating Motorsports still leads proceedings in GTE Am, ahead of Team Project 1 and JMW Motorsport.
