Codemasters confirms full classic car list for F1 2019 game

The full list of classic cars available in the new Formula 1 video game developed by Codemasters has been revealed with new additions.

With the new Legends edition of the game based around the legendary battles between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, we will see the introduction of the 1990 McLaren MP4/5B and the Ferrari F1-90.

Codemasters is also celebrating the 10 anniversary of being the developers behind the official F1 game. To commemorate the occasion, they have included the 2010 McLaren MP4-25 and the Ferrari F10.

Previous classic cars which came in through previous games will also be available once more. Such as the 2009 Brawn BGP-001, 1996 Williams FW18, and 1976 McLaren M23D, as well as 15 other well-known cars throughout F1 history.

It was also confirmed Formula 2 will be a playable feature for the first time in the official F1 game, the 2018 season including the three graduates of the year with Alexander Albon, Lando Norris and champion George Russell will be initially available with the 2019 season currently in development.

“Every year we make great strides so the game is as authentic and immersive as possible and we have surpassed expectations with the quality of the visuals in F1 2019,” said Lee Mather, F1 Game Director at Codemasters.

“We also know from fan feedback the classic cars our community wants to race and we hope the returning roster, alongside the new vehicles from the Legends and Anniversary editions, will give them the choices they crave.”

  • 2007 Ferrari F2007
  • 2006 Renault R26
  • 2004 Ferrari F2004
  • 2003 Williams FW25
  • 1998 McLaren MP4-13
  • 1996 Williams FW18
  • 1992 Williams FW14
  • 1991 McLaren MP4/6
  • 1988 McLaren MP4/4
  • 1982 McLaren MP4/1B
  • 1979 Ferrari 312 T4
  • 1978 Lotus 79
  • 1976 Ferrari 312 T2
  • 1976 McLaren M23D
  • 1972 Lotus 72D
  • 1990 Ferrari F1-90
  • 1990 McLaren MP4/5B
  • 2010 Ferrari F10
  • 2010 McLaren MP4-25

The game is set for release on June 28 on all platforms with the 'Legends Edition' set for early release on June 25.
