Spanish Grand Prix: Final starting grid

Valtteri Bottas secured his third consecutive pole position as he swept to a record lap time in Barcelona – a time nobody could even get close to – which will see him start ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton in an all-Mercedes front-row.

A couple of penalties sees the lower positions shuffled with Renault's Daniel Ricciardo dropping to 13th from tenth after he was handed a three-place penalty for reversing into Daniil Kvyat in Azerbaijan. That promotes Lando Norris to the top ten and Alexander Albon and Carlos Sainz a place each.

Nico Hulkenberg was disqualified for changing to a different specification front-wing during qualifying after he crashed and therefore starts from the pitlane, which effectively cancels out George Russell's five-place grid drop as he was due to start at the back having qualified 19th, but keeps that position.

Lance Stroll and Antonio Giovinazzi both rise a place and Robert Kubica rises two.
