Anthony Beltoise will join the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY grid for the series' seventh round of its inaugural campaign on the streets of Monaco, driving the #1 VIP car.

The son of Formula 1 driver Jean-Pierre Beltoise – winner of the 1972 Monaco Grand Prix, Anthony will make his fully-electric racing debut in the Principality on May 10 in practice before competing in the 25-minute + 1 lap race one day later on May 11.

The 47-year-old Frenchman has a distinguished motor racing career, winning the French GT and Porsche Carrera Cup France championships while also taking a class podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2000.

"Taking to the streets of Monaco is always a privilege and I’m eager to get on track and compete in my first ever electric race," he said.

"I’m not quite sure what to expect having never raced in an electric vehicle, but the plan is definitely to move my way up the field during the race.

"It will be a special occasion for my family to follow in the tyre tracks of my father who won the Monaco GP in 1972.

"The level of competition in eTROPHY is really high but I will definitely have my eyes on the podium. I’d like to thank Jaguar for the opportunity to compete in this innovative and history-making championship."

With last weekend's Paris round marking the series' sixth race weekend, the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY witnessed its first repeat winner in the form of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing's Bryan Sellers who came out on top in treacherous wet weather conditions.

By standing on the top step of the podium, the American racer has shot to the top of the Pro Drivers' Championship table, holding a five point advantage over Sergio Jimenez while 20 points cover the top four in the standings.

In the Pro-Am fight, Saudi Racing's Bandar Alesayi continues to lead despite recording his worst result of the season in Paris, picking up 102 points in six races while team-mate Ahmed Bin-Khanen is his nearest challenger, 32 points adrift.
