Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing's Bryan Sellers took a dramatic maiden Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY pole position on the streets of Paris, beating Caca Bueno to the top spot.

Commencing on a damp track after rain earlier this morning, qualifying for the sixth round of the series' inaugural season was a story of evolving track conditions, with lap times improving as the 30-minute session progressed.

Throughout the session, Bueno held provisional pole position, continuously improving his lap time for Jaguar Brazil Racing to hold a large advantage over the rest of the field, 0.465s ahead of Katherine Legge with just over one minute of running remaining.

Completing his final run by going purple in sectors one and three, Bueno once again improved to complete a 1m 16.425s run.

While Bueno made a mistake in sector two on his final lap, Sellers was able find an advantage over the five-time Stock Car Brasil champion, beating provisional pole position by 0.107s as the chequered flag waved to claim pole.

With Sellers taking pole, Bueno was second while TWR Techeetah's Stefan Rzadzinksi impressed to secure third on the grid, joined on the second row by Sergio Jimenez in the second Jaguar Brazil car.

Britain's Legge completed the top five in the second RLL entry while Simon Evans completed the Pro field in sixth.

Qualifying in seventh for Saudi Racing, Bandar Alesayi secured pole position for Pro-Am, 0.993s slower than Sellers' overall pole while team-mate Ahmed Bin-Khanen was eighth.

Jaguar VIP driver Archie Hamilton secured the ninth fastest time in the session to beat I-PACE regulars Celia Martin (10th) and Yaqi Zhang (11th) while Ziyi Zhang completed the field in 12th on debut.
