MotoGP has confirmed the first test of the 2020 pre-season will take place in Malaysia on February 7, 8, 9, while in-season 2019 dates have also been finalised.
As has been the case for a number of years now, the first test of the new year will take place at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia, beginning with the three-day shakedown for test riders from February 2-4, before the official three-day test gets underway on February 7.
Dates for the second test of 2020 have yet to be agreed, but will once again likely take place in Qatar just weeks before the season commences.
On November 25 and 26 this year, a test will once again be held at the Jerez circuit in Spain as part of 2020 season preparations.
Three one-day tests on the Monday following the Spanish, Catalan and Czech Grands Prix, along with a two-day test at Misano just two weeks before the San Marino Grand Prix on August 29 and 30 are scheduled.
These five days of running will represent the only chance this year for all bar KTM and Aprilia will be able to test in-season, following the removal of five private test days for factory riders at non-concession teams for this year.
The two-day test at Misano had originally been planned to take place at the KymiRing in Finland ahead of the country's expected return to the calendar in 2020.
However, according to Motorsport.com, this idea was scrapped owing to the circuit to unlikely not be ready in time.
The possibility of testing at the KymiRing this year has not been ruled out, should significant progress be made in its construction.
