Mission Winnow no longer part of Ferrari’s team name

Ferrari’s Mission Winnow title partnership has been omitted from its official team name, in the latest version of the 2019 Formula 1 entry list released by the FIA.

Ferrari has held a long-term partnership with Philip Morris International but the company’s branding had not featured on the team’s cars in several years.

That changed last October when the company’s new Mission Winnow project was unveiled, and on the 2019 entry list the squad was entered as Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow.

The SF90, along with driver overalls and helmets, features Mission Winnow branding but the slogan has now been quietly dropped from Ferrari's official team name.

Elsewhere the FIA has officially ratified SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team and ROKiT Williams Racing as respective team names following recently secured partnership agreements.

Racing Point’s engines, meanwhile, have been branded as BWT Mercedes as a nod to the firm that has acted as a leading partner since 2017.
