Reigning World Champions Mercedes has unveiled its 2019 challenger, the W10, as it bids to win both Formula 1 titles for a sixth successive season.

Mercedes has swept up in Formula 1’s hybrid era, emerging as a dominant force for the first three seasons, though has faced renewed pressure from Ferrari since 2017.

Mercedes ultimately pulled clear through the second half of 2018 to secure a fifth straight Drivers’ and Constructors’ double, with Lewis Hamilton again getting the better of Sebastian Vettel.

Hamilton, having signed a new two-year deal, is set for his seventh campaign with Mercedes and he will again be joined by Valtteri Bottas.

Hamilton claimed 11 wins en route to his fifth world title in 2018 while Bottas took a low-key fifth in the standings, having failed to pick up a single victory.

Ex-Force India racer Esteban Ocon will act as back-up to the pair after missing out on a 2019 race seat.

Mercedes has already run its W10 on track today (Wednesday) at Silverstone for a shakedown that is being held behind closed doors.

Bottas turned the first lap in the W10, with Hamilton due to take over later in the day.
