KTM has unveiled the designs of its works MotoGP outfit and that of the new-look Tech3 team's, which takes after Toro Rosso's Formula 1 design, at its official launch in Austria.

This season marks KTM's third in the premier class, and its first fielding four RC16s after offering factory support to the Tech3 team, which ended its 20-year association with Yamaha at the end of 2018.

The factory KTM effort will be spearheaded by Pol Espargaro and Johann Zarco, while the pair's former Tech3 squad takes on rookie Miguel Oliveira to partner Hafizh Syahrin.

While the factory squad's colours remains largely unchanged to that of the previous two seasons, Tech3 will run a Red Bull Cola-themed livery akin to that used by Toro Rosso in Formula 1 since 2017.

Tech3 was previously sponsored by rival energy drinks giant Monster Energy during its for the last 10 years of its tie-up with Yamaha, with the works Iwata marque now receiving title backing from Monster.

KTM comes into the new year off the back a successful sophomore campaign in the premier class, with Espargaro claiming the Austrian manufacturer's maiden podium after finishing a treacherous Valencia Grand Prix third to take KTM to fifth in the constructors' standings.

The Austrian marque's Moto3 and Moto2 team's, run by Ajo Motorsport, were present at the launch also, with 15-year-old rookie Can Oncu – who won on his debut in a wildcard appearance for the team in Valencia last year – Brad Binder and reigning Moto3 world champion Jorge Martin pulling the covers off of identical liveries to the main MotoGP effort.

Having previously run its own chassis in Moto2, Tech3 has now switched to KTM chassis for its 2019 assault with all-rookie line-up Marco Bezzecchi and Philipp Oettl.

KTM has gained former Honda man Dani Pedrosa as official test rider for 2019 after agreeing a two-year deal, though the 31-times MotoGP race winner will be out of action for at least three months following surgery on a collarbone injury last week.
