Keating Motorsport will enter the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a Ford GT in the GTE Am class.
The Automobile Club de l'Ouest has released the first 42 entries for the 87th edition of the French endurance classic, with the American-entered Ford the most notable of them.
The team, which contested last year's race with a Ferrari 488 GTE, is set to enter with a three-man lineup of Ben Keating, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Felipe Fraga.
The entry marks the first time a Ford GT has been entered by a privateer, as the cars were exclusively run by the factory Ford entries in GTE Pro. The event will mark Keating's third GTE Am entry at Le Mans. The 47-year-old gained entry to the race by winning the Bob Akin award for his results in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship.
With 42 entries now announced, an additional 18 slots (plus 10 reserves) are left to be filled ahead of the race in June.
