Mazda's Jonathan Bomarito has set the fastest time in the second practice session ahead of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The #55 Mazda set a time that was well over half a second clear of Felipe Albuquerque in the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac. Colin Braun ranked third on the scoreboard in the #54 CORE Autosport Nissan. The top five in DPi was completed by Ricky Taylor in the #7 Team Penske Acura and Agustin Canapino in the #50 Juncos Cadillac.
The #81 Dragonspeed ORECA topped LMP2 again, this time in the hands of James Allen. Allen beat PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports' Gabriel Aubry by less than half a second.
The #911 Porsche was fastest in GTLM for the second session in a row at the hands of Nick Tandy. Denmark's Jan Magnussen came in second in the #3 Corvette and Ryan Briscoe in the #67 Ford rounded out the top three.
Spirit of Race proved fastest in GTD, with Daniel Serra setting the fastest time in the #51 Ferrari. Following Serra were Trent Hindman in the #86 Meyers Shank Racing Acura and Ben Keating in the #33 Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG.
Qualifying will follow next with the session starting at 3:35 local time.
