Kimi Raikkonen has returned to Sauber for the first time in 17 years during Formula 1’s post-season test at the Yas Marina Circuit.

Raikkonen has signed a two-year deal to replace Marcus Ericsson and partner full-time rookie Antonio Giovinazzi at the squad, with which he carried out his maiden year in Formula 1 in 2001.

Sauber was one of the most improved teams through the course of the campaign, regularly emerging as the fastest midfielder towards the end of 2018, ultimately placing eighth.

Raikkonen, sporting plain white overalls, completed an installation lap in the C37 shortly after running began at 09:00 local time.
