Sebastian Vettel topped final practice ahead of the Australian Grand Prix for Ferrari in a changeable FP3 session at Albert Park.
The session started off in damp and greasy conditions following earlier rainfall but quickly dried out by the end of the 60 minute-long session. When the chequered flag waved, Vettel emerged as the pacesetter with a 1:26.067 on the ultrasoft tyre.
Kimi Raikkonen was Vettel's nearest challenger in the second Ferrari, a mighty 2.432 seconds adrift of his team-mate on the same tyre compound, 0.392 seconds faster than Marcus Ericsson who ended the session in a surprise third place for Sauber as the last of the runners on slick compound tyres.
Max Verstappen was fourth fastest, 5.613 seconds adrift of Vettel, albeit on the intermediate tyres, and was followed by Carlos Saiz Jr who was fifth fastest for Renault, splitting the two Red Bull drivers with Daniel Ricciardo in sixth.
Valtteri Bottas was the lead Mercedes in seventh while reigning champion Lewis Hamilton was eighth fastest with the pair also completing their laps on the intermediate tyres.
Stoffel Vandoorne finished the session in ninth fastest for McLaren while Fernando Alonso completed the top ten, frustrated at the Woking-based team after being unable to set a flying lap on the dry tyres ahead of qualifying, ending the session 8.231 seconds adrift of leader Vettel.
Force India propped up the bottom of the timesheets with neither Sergio Perez or Esteban Ocon completing a flying lap in the final practice session ahead of qualifying while Nico Hulkenberg was the slowest of the 18 drivers who completed lap times, having a near-brush with the wall on the exit Turn 10 early on in the session for Renault.
