BWT has expanded its motorsport association by becoming the title sponsor of Formula 2 team Arden.

Arden will this year field Honda-backed Nirei Fukuzumi and Mercedes-affiliated Maximilian Gunther, the latter having sported BWT’s pink livery during the second half of last year’s F3 season.

Ahead of the opening pre-season test of the season, Arden and BWT announced its partnership, consolidating the company’s presence on each step of the single-seater ladder.

“In addition to our existing involvement in Formula 1, Formula 3 and Formula 4, BWT is now joining forces with British team Arden International and will compete under the new name BWT Arden,” said Marketing Manager, Lutz Hübner.

“We are delighted that one of the Formula 2 cars will be piloted by Maximilian Günther, who made a successful start in Formula 3 in our own BWT colours in 2017.”

BWT’s branding features prominently in Formula 1 through Force India, having linked up with the team at the start of 2017.
