Toro Rosso has taken the wraps off its first Honda-powered car, the STR13, ahead of the opening day of testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The STR13 was run for the first time during a shakedown at Misano last week, but was publicly unveiled in the pit lane early on Monday.

Toro Rosso finished seventh in last year’s standings, for the fourth successive season, and has aligned itself with Honda through 2020, having replaced McLaren as the Japanese marque’s partner.

It marks the third different engine partner in as many years for Toro Rosso, having previously used Ferrari and Renault power units in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Toro Rosso also enters 2018 with two drivers embarking on their first full-season in Formula 1, having both made their debuts towards the end of last year.

Long-term Red Bull junior Pierre Gasly, the 2016 GP2 champion, replaced Daniil Kvyat for five of the final six Grands Prix, having finished runner-up in the Japan-based Super Formula series.

Brendon Hartley, meanwhile, secured his second WEC LMP1 title in 2017, and was drafted in by Toro Rosso in place of Renault-bound Carlos Sainz Jr., seven years after he was initially axed by Red Bull’s young driver programme.

The pair will form the least experienced line-up in Formula 1 this season, having started only nine Grands Prix between them during the closing stages of 2017.
