A total of 36 cars will take part in the 2018-19 World Endurance Championship 'super season', with 10 racing in the top LMP1 category.
The number marks an increase from last season by eight entries, with all classes except LMP2 exhibiting growth.
The official list was revealed during a press conference held by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest in Paris on Friday afternoon.
In addition, the entry for the Le Mans 24 Hours in June will stand at 60 cars, split evenly between prototypes and GTs.
LMP1 has doubled in size and is the joint-largest category, with Toyota's pair of TS050 Hybrids set to be joined by non-hybrid efforts from Manor (Ginetta x2), DragonSpeed (BRE/Dallara), SMP Racing (BRE/Dallara x2), Rebellion (ORECA x2) and ByKolles Racing (CLM-NISMO)
Its entry figure is matched by the GTE-Pro class, which has increased by two cars following the introduction of BMW's new M8 challenger to the factory grid.
As in previous seasons, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche and Ford will run two all-professional cars each.
At Le Mans, the GTE-Pro entry will inflate to 17, with Porsche, Ford and Ferrari set to bring additional machinery, along with the presence of two Corvette C7.Rs.
Ferrari has confirmed an additional AF Corse-run 488, while Porsche and Ford will both bring their two-car entries over from the IMSA Sportscar Championship.
In GTE-Am, the grid will advance from five to nine cars, including all teams that raced in the category in 2017.
Aston Martin will return to defend its title with Paul Dalla Lana, Mathias Lauda and Pedro Lamy, while customer outfit TF Sport has stepped up from the European Le Mans Series.
New entries include the Ferrari entered by Japanese squad MR Racing, and the debut of last year's Porsche 911 RSR in GTE-Am form with Porsche Supercup-winning team Project 1.
LMP2 is the only category to experience a drop in entries, which is in part due to the addition of Manor and Rebellion to the LMP1 fold.
2016 champion Signatech Alpine will scale back its involvement to one car, while Le Mans winner Jackie Chan DC Racing is back with two ORECA 07s run in association with Jota Sport.
Unlike last year's all-ORECA grid, the 2018-19 LMP2 class will feature entries from two other constructors, with Racing Team Nederland set to run a Dallara and Larbre Competition committing to the full season with a Ligier JSP217.
The LMP2 entry will be supplemented by teams from the European Le Mans Series grid, bringing the number for the 24-hours up to 20.
